CALL FOR Presenters is now open for submissions
The Symposium welcomes the submission of several types of papers/presentations, including:
1) Research- The presentation of original and peer-reviewed research including bench science, randomized control trials, clinical trials, case controls and case studies related to the neuromusculoskeletal systems.
2) Knowledge Translation- Presentations that focus on the synthesis of research that informs clinical practice, helps to develop best practice guidelines and uses outcome measures to disseminate knowledge and improve orthopaedic practice. Presentations will focus on the direct application of research and knowledge translation, in the context of clinical reasoning and patient treatment. Clinical case studies or application of research in a clinical context are strongly encouraged.
All types of papers/ presentations can be presented the following ways:
Podium – Oral presentations to a seated audience (either in the main auditorium or in breakout sessions), typically accompanied by audio/visual materials summarizing data presented. Presenters will be allotted time for their session (15, 30 or 60 minutes) depending on final program constraints. A portion of the presentation time may be reserved for audience discussion. If applicants which to have more than one presenter for their paper, it must be noted in their application.
Poster – Static presentations in which information is summarized using brief written statements and graphic materials, such as photographs, charts, graphs, and/or diagrams mounted on a poster board (100cmx100cm). Posters will be on display throughout the Symposium, and speakers will be assigned a specific date and time when they must be at their poster for discussion with delegates.
Please ensure you have read the Papers/Presentation Style Guide (click here to download) and ensure that your paper’s abstract confirms to the required style. The required style varies between Research Papers, Knowledge Translation Papers and Direct Clinical Application Papers.
